Change readiness assessment
Find out how ready people are for a change before you launch it.
A change readiness assessment shows how prepared people are for a change before it launches. It helps leaders target support where it is needed and avoid predictable resistance.
Who it is for: Leadership teams, HR and change managers.
Timeline: 1–4 weeks, and can be extended depending on the scope of the assessment.
When to use it
- Before a restructure, merger or new system goes live.
- When a previous change was not fully adopted.
- When leaders want to plan the right support for teams.
What we measure
- Understanding of the change: We check whether people understand what is changing, why and how it affects them.
- Leadership support: We assess whether leaders and managers visibly support the change.
- Capacity and workload: We look at whether teams have the time, skills and resources to adopt the change.
- Concerns and resistance: We identify the main concerns and sources of resistance, by team and role.
How we assess
- Staff survey
- Leader interviews
- Focus groups
What you receive
- A readiness score for each team affected by the change
- A view of the concerns and risks most likely to slow adoption
- Recommendations for communication, support and timing
